What makes this recognition meaningful is what it reflects beyond tourism. Koh Samui's airport ranked second in Asia-Pacific — just behind Singapore's Changi. Hotel occupancy rose 12% in 2024, and average daily room rates grew 9% — jumping a further 21% in April 2025 alone. This is an island in demand.
